POWERED BY YANMAR

4BY3 – 180

Yanmar are our engine of choice when it comes to the Patronus range. Yanmar give us the flexibility to fit outdrive or jetdrive propulsion. We believe these engines are the ultimate partner for the Patronus models.

The new generation BY series engines were developed in partnership with car manufacture BMW, breaking new standards across the inboard engine sector.

These Yanmar diesels are similar in weight to petrol engines of equivalent capacity, and produce a similar rate of acceleration. Electronic control is by second-generation common rail with magnetic injectors and the engines include a CAN bus system with NMEA 2000 protocol. They are turbocharged and inter-cooled. The turbocharger on the inboard four-cylinder and all the six-cylinder models is waste-gated

The 7.2m Cobra Patronus tender is a versatile choice due to its flexibility of options and layouts. It can be offered in various specifications from a luxury tender through to a compliant Rescue SOLAS tender. The 7.2m is paired with the Yanmar 260hp Diesel inboard but can be offered with a choice between jet or outdrive propulsion depending on the level of compliance the tender requires. All these features make the Cobra Patronus Range the perfect choice for your new tender.
